A Nation Falls: The Cost of What America Tolerates
Chris’ new round titled, “A Nation Falls”, is inscribed with the complete phrase, “A Nation Falls by What It Tolerates.” This statement paraphrases a quote from German-Jewish journalist, satirist and essayist, Kurt Tucholsky. His words, “a country is not just what it does, it is also what it tolerates”, are etched into the wall of Yad Vashem, which is the World Holocaust Remembrance Center, in Jerusalem. Its inference is profound.

Until very recently the word “tolerance” had retained its negative ramifications, although in a much reduced capacity. For most Americans, it referenced something you didn’t like, but had to “put up with”. You tolerated a rainy day, a delayed bus or a cancelled appointment. You put up with your boss’s bad mood, your sister’s boyfriend or your neighbor’s whining dog.
When Patience Was Temporary
Adults understood that tolerating something annoying was a test of their maturity, civility, but primarily, their patience. When you were forced to tolerate something you did not like it was with the understanding that it was a temporary situation that would either resolve itself or simply go away.
Today, "tolerance" defines the acceptance of an annoying situation that will never resolve itself nor will it ever go away. Tolerance has been morphed into something positive and worn as a badge of honor by wimps who stand for absolutely nothing and see absolutely everything as acceptable. In doing so, they allow deviant behavior to flourish.

Millions of feminist baby boomers, who continue to abide by the premise described in Dr. Thomas A. Harris' 1969 book, “I’m ok, You're ok”, are a major part of the problem because, despite what radical feminism has convinced them of, some things are simply NOT ok.
When Society Redefines Right and Wrong
Radical, second-wave feminism is diametrically opposed to the tenets of Christianity, and as a result, these misguided women see negatives as positives, up as down, black as white and in as out. And then, shockingly, they get defensive when asked to justify their faulty assertions.
Unfortunately, these influential women, and their younger step daughters, are now everywhere. Today, they dominate academia, the military, retail businesses, religious organizations, the judiciary, financial institutions, non-profit foundations and every level of politics. There isn’t a formally all-male institution that isn’t awash with these women and they routinely are brazenly, proudly and boldly on the wrong side of every issue.
Worse yet, these women berate anyone who fails to perceive their bizarre acceptance of incivility, ineptitude or immorality as normal. They use “tolerance” as a measure to judge other people's character or integrity, when in fact, it is they who lack both. Tolerance has become a mental illness based on warped priorities which can be traced back to substitution of the ideology of radical feminism for the tenets of their former Christian faith.
From Polite Society to Broken Boundaries
Today, anything goes and anything that feminists believe, no matter how outlandish, is deemed by the sisterhood to be right and true, when in reality, it is not and the results are telling. Throughout history, women have always been the purveyors of polite society. They enforced the social rules that governed personal interactions. They did not tolerate rudeness, impolite behavior or inconsideration of others. Today they are instead the purveyors of the wretched behavior they at one time found so offensive. Every vice, scandal, crime and divorce can be traced back to those same arrogant females because, despite the destructive outcomes, they intentionally choose to tolerate it all.
As a result, the tolerance of people’s chronic bad behavior is now a mainstay of our daily lives and it is wreaking havoc on our once great Christian country where if you screwed-up, men let the “chips fall where they may” and justice was served.
No one was forced to "tolerate" criminal, obnoxious or devious behavior because there were standards, rules and laws by which civilized men abided and by which they held others accountable. That is no longer the case.
Most of those rules and regulations emanated from God’s laws and the Christian faith. In fact, rather than tolerate bad behavior, men were called upon by God to do the exact opposite. They were obliged to rectify the intolerable situation by punishing those who were responsible for the egregious behavior.
Not only are the killing of Jews during the Holocaust a vivid reminder of tolerance gone wrong but throughout human history examples like this persist, despite the warnings. In fact, humanity has been warned for centuries about the inevitable destruction of countries which allow corruption, moral decay and devious behavior to go unchecked.
The Past Repeats When People Refuse to Learn
As can be seen on Chris’ new strike, A Nation Falls, these warnings were being expressed as early as 50 BC when the great Roman lawyer and statesman Cicero wrote that "tolerance" of these abhorrent activities would lead to a nation’s demise. More recently, the Spanish born philosopher, George Santayana wrote in his 1905 book, The Life of Reason, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
And yet, here we go again. America is a mess. And it’s a mess because women are in control of everything and worse, they tolerate everything, and anything, that comes into view. This will be the death of us and the Peaceable Kingdom that we all love.
