Atlas Stacker and the Burden of Real Money
Most men willingly, and graciously, bear the heaviest load of responsibility on earth. They begin this process in high school and slowly add to their burden throughout their lives as they absorb more and more obligations. Chris’ new round, Atlas Stacker, demonstrates the weight that Silver Stackers have chosen to carry in order to secure their family’s financial future.
Carrying the “weight of the world” on your shoulders takes on a new meaning when you consider how heavy physical silver is. A one ounce .999 round, multiplied by 200 units, equals 12.5 pounds. It adds up quickly. And although the experience associated with stacking silver is rewarding, it can be physically taxing as well, making the analogy with Atlas more poignant. Silver weighs a lot. In fact, by density, it outweighs both iron and aluminum.
But, that’s also the reason Stackers love the process. Physical silver’s weight feels valuable. It looks valuable and it even sounds valuable as it jingles in your pocket because it IS valuable. But, until you’ve actually experienced the sensation of holding real silver rounds in your hands, it’s nearly impossible to describe it to someone else. And even then, it remains a difficult task.
In fact, it’s an experience that only 6-7% of our population can actually recall. And yet, it is an experience that every teenage boy should seek out. Just as it has been throughout history, the handling of physical silver can be life-changing, because for many, it’s so visceral. It literally calls out to young men today because most have never held a silver coin in their hand in their entire lives. It is truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
Prior to 1965, solid silver coins were everywhere. The average person used them multiple times a day to buy everything they needed. Everyone was familiar with the coin’s weight, sheen, jingle and feel. Americans took them for granted and instinctively knew they had intrinsic value because everyone knew that physical silver was a proven commodity and had been used as money for centuries.
Unfortunately, all of that changed in 1965 with the passage of the Coinage Act. This also caused the shift to the use of credit cards as money since silver coins no longer looked anything like money themselves. They looked like tokens, toys or slugs rather than real money. So, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that the shift to plastic began at the same time.
This shift away from solid silver towards plastic started slowly and although the Diner's Club Card was introduced in 1950, it was not readily adopted by the general public for nearly 20 years. This was mainly because this first credit card was created to be used by business executives at certain restaurants and the balance had to be paid in full every month.
It was not until the 1970s that credit cards finally became popular with the general public. By then, silver coins no longer existed and people became more and more removed from silver as money. And yet, silver has continued to retain its value when every other form of investment has faltered.
When all of our solid silver coins had been removed from circulation the new coins that issued to replace them were completely devoid of silver. The “coins” were simply a core of copper sandwiched between layers of a copper-nickel alloy. Ironically, the “burden” of carrying heavy physical silver was gone too.
Today, most people don’t remember having ever seen a real silver dime and quarter. And, this is part of the subterfuge undertaken by the government to leave people with nothing but digital illusions of wealth like derivatives, stocks, bonds, securities and more recently, cryptos. Unlike physical silver, these “investments”, or monetary representations, have less intrinsic value than our cheap copper-nickel slugs.
So, just as Atlas is shown doing on Chris’ new strike, Atlas Stacker, it's time to embrace the “burden” of stacking physical silver once again in order to secure a solid foundation for the creation of generational wealth.
Stacking physical silver, no matter how heavy your load becomes, is the only way to avoid the risk of losing everything to rampant, relentless inflation, to economic vicissitudes and fluctuations, and government ineptitude and the associated mismanagement of your tax dollars.
It’s time to get back to the only historically proven way of saving for the future. It's time to become your own Atlas and start stacking physical silver today.
Someday soon, your children will thank you for your prescience, insightfulness and enterprise on their behalf. And seriously, that’s really all you need as an acknowledgement of all the burdens you’ve borne in their stead.
